Introducing the Honda Plus Locate program – Honda Canada’s solution to the common concern of "How can I find my stolen car?"
With Honda Plus Locate, customers receive an extra level of security if their Honda gets stolen.
The dedicated Honda team collaborates with local law enforcement around the clock to track down stolen vehicles and reunite them with their rightful owners. Their advanced system even has the capability to locate vehicles hidden inside shipping containers at any port in North America.
Honda Plus Locate offers drivers peace of mind by providing $1000 towards their insurance deductible if their vehicle is returned damaged. In the rare case that the vehicle is not returned, customers can claim up to $5000 towards a replacement vehicle.
All 180 seaports in North America are now equipped with virtual fencing. If a Honda vehicle, equipped with Honda Locate, crosses this virtual fence and is held at a seaport, a notification is sent to the recovery team.
Unlike other solutions, Honda Locate is the first of its kind that can operate from inside a shipping container. The Honda Locate Range Finder feature allows authorities to accurately locate the specific container holding the stolen vehicle.
The Honda Plus Locate device is designed for easy installation on most metal surfaces using its high-powered magnets. If you prefer to install it on non-metal surfaces, you can use the 3M 9448A double-sided mounting adhesive that comes with it. When using the adhesive on the back of the Locate device, ensure that the punch hole aligns with the Tamper Sensor. If the Tamper Sensor is covered, the removal alert will not activate.
For the best adhesion, make sure the bonding surface is clean, dry, and smooth. The recommended temperature range for applying the 3M tape is between 70F to 100F (21C to 38C). Avoid applying the adhesive to surfaces below 50F (10C).
