City of Pickering

The City of Pickering as it’s known today was created when Ontario County was dissolved into the Regional Municipality of Durham in 1974.

Originally the Town of Pickering, it became a city in 2000.

Located just East of Toronto on the 401 the city has thrived.

Some of Pickering’s more well-known attractions include the Pickering Town Centre, Pickering Casino Resort and the waterfront trail, which stretches from Oshawa to Niagara-on-the-lake.

Community Involvement

In the past, we have sponsored a number of events put on by the City of Pickering, including Hip-Hop in the Park.
